I knew, that the pannings in 3rd punk sucked, but I didn't know that the
modules were corrupted. Yes they were, the defaultpannings were somehow
scrambled and the y sounded terrifying.
Now that I learned to use Midas I decided to do a little (right.) re-
release of the stuff with correct pannings.
Greets to Flaw, Lade, Mich, Viber, authors of Midas, my swedish fans and
Jaz. Did I forget you?

"The textfile for 3rd punk, written in 6.7 1995 at some 10:21"

Yah, not long since Equality, and here we go again. In fact, I had
Made two punk-tunes for 2nd Difference, but I simply couldn't make those
fit in, not in Equality either, so I dropped them off and made funkier tunes
instead.
But I've been having this sort of punk-season - actually it started in
1992 when I copied NO FX "Ribbed" and "White trash, two heebs and a bean"
and had one month of NO FX only. I still think they're fuckin cool, even if
"Punk in drublic" isn't as good as the ones before.
So then I went on with Pennywise, Offspring, Lag Wagon and No use for a name,
and was looking forward to doing some punk myself. But it wasn't that easy.
My band - Sundae - where I play bass and make tunes, is a funky pop-band, and
we don't really play punk. "EQ" is our lead-guitarist's punky tune, but in
"real life" it isn't _that_ punky as here on 3rd punk. So I tried to make
punk on tracker. Not that easy.
First of all, you can't have vocals. Ok, you _could_ sample singing, but
what's the point. At least I can't sing. So what are you supposed to do?
A 3-minute guitar solo like in "Take me softly" or "Sticks and stones"?
Hell no. Not in punk. The solution to this problem was to make the tunes
into karaoke-mode and leave the melody away. I think it works quite okay.
Just don't let the boredom bother you, try imagining the melody. In fact,
there really ARE melodies for some of the tunes, which can be found on the
last track played with a stupid casiosample at volume 00. The lyrics are in
the samplenames. The lyrics to EQ are gone, I can't find them, and my bands
singer is on vacation, so you'll have to do without them.
The second and a bit more complicated prob was, that if I'd have one guitar
only the thing would sound naked, and when i had two of them it got messy.
The trick is, that bands have the other one panned to the right, the other one
to the left. But by that time ST3 was still mono or full stereo. So I just
skipped the whole project, until the new version came out, and voila, here
we have panned tunes! So pleae, _do_ listen to them with GUS and in stereo,
will you?
This project was all clear a few weeks after 2nd Difference, but was held
back because of lack of graphics and player, but after all this time here we
go.
Greets go to Flaw, Joel, Sonic, Nordic Line, Gollum, Edge, Lade, Mellow-D,
Nik, ChuckB, Khyron, Simpulan jengi, Paavo Mauri Ville Ilkka Olli Micke Pasi
Mikko Matti Lassinpikkusisko Lassinisoveli Lassinvanhemmat Akijrvinen
Pasirastas and then those who I forgot (like the dudes in #trax).
