Due to the increased demand for this version, I DO NOT have time to document
everything that's in it. An official FAQ and WALKTHRU will be done by tomorrow.

                               APPLYING THE PATCH
                               ------------------

     - Install the RETAIL version of the software. 
     - Delete ALL files in the ..\SAVE directory 
     - Delete ALL player profiles in the currect directory.  
       These files are *.CMD, *.CML and *.LOG 
     - Unzip the BC3K101.ZIP -d in the current directory 
     - run the game as normal.

                       A BRIEF NOTE ON CHANGED/ADDITIONS
                       ----------------------------------

1.  The music MAY cause some crashes.  Because of the way Glenn did it,
    there is NO way to disable it without disabling the sound system unless you 
    run the HMI SETUP and disable MIDI.

2.  Do a FULL install if you can.

3.  FATAL now works.  Press d to designate a target and a yellow TTD will appear
    in the HUD.  In this interim patch, you should arm the weapon systems with 
    w.  I will change this later.  Anyway, once the weapons list comes up, 
    press a num to select a weapon.  This will then be assigned to the target 
    you selected in the TACSCAN.  Orient the ship until you get a lock.  That's 
    it!  You can assign up to 10 FATAL targets.  Once the targeted object comes 
    within range of the missile, FATAL will auto-launch.  This is similar to 
    how PTA works for the turrets.  FATAL is displayed in the HUD.  To cancel 
    *ALL* FATAL targets, press shift+x. To cancel a specific FATAL target, press
    x.

    Note:

    WEAPONS SYSTEMS in LOGISTIX requires 5 units of power.

    When a weapon is launched the TO reports "FATAL LAUNCH"

    If the weapon did not deploy TO reports "FAILURE IN FATAL SYSTEM"

4.  Dogfighting is slightly better due to changes in the Chase engine.

5.  Controls are also slightly better.  You MUST recalib your joystick

6.  I have put in menu options in the right side of the BC bridge.  Click on the
    ship to launch it.  Once launched, you will have more options.  This menu is
    work in progress!

7.  Ships will now follow waypoints but rather slowly. This is bug which can
    be bypassed by switching to the ship and giving some thrust, switch out and
    it will follow the waypoint a little faster.

8.  You will notice some significant changes in TacOPS!  I cannot document all
    of them, There is now a dynamic menu which builds itself from the list of
    targets.  This builds a dynamic list of targets close to the cursor.  
    Clicking will simply zoom to that object.  To zoom to the area, click on 
    empty space. Some bug fixes. 

    Notes:

    Moving the mouse in TACOPS will display a "ZOOM TO list" which lists
    all the objects near that mouse position. left clicking the mouse will
    zoom to include all the objects listed, attempting to spread them out.

    If no list is displayed, left clicking will zoom by 2 as before.

    Left dragging will still pan the tacops display.

    The "zoom to list" is dynamic and updated every frame.
    To have TACOPS NOT show the list and NOT do a zoom hold down the shift key.

    The numeric 5 key zooms full out and sets view to above more consistently

    The FULL button in the command palette now resets the origin,orientation
    and zoom level. (previously only changed zoom level).

    The background colour of TTDs is now black in TACOPS.

9.  ALL deployment operations now work.  Go into Tactical and put an ATV and
    drone in in a shuttle.  Go to the surface and deploy the ATV or try to 
    switch to it while in the shuttle.  You will be able to drive it, use it's 
    weapons etc. This is work in progress and later you will be able to pick up 
    personnel from the ATV or shuttle etc.  You extract the ATV/DRONE use the 
    shuttle from TacOPS and assign it a waypoint mission.  ATVs only use 
    APM-Radix missiles which are armed in the TACTICAL computer.

10. If you zoom the NID map far enough using z and Z keys, it will remove the
    bitmap and become a black background from which you can select targets.  
    You can still target objects in either map and press i to see it in the CVD 
    camera.

11. Starstations should no longer attack a threat you are towing allowing ACM
    mission 2 to be completed.

12. You can now gag pilots from the new bridge menu.

13. The LOCAL ic mode has been renamed to AI.  To switch from AI to DIRECT,
    press shift+a.  In AI mode, the ship will follow it's waypoints while 
    you watch it from the HUD.  In DIRECT mode, you are in control as normal.  
    When you switch out of a ship, it resumes AI mode and switches back to 
    DIRECT when you switch back to it.

    Note:

    If using shift-a to set AI mode, A/P is also engaged. If A/P is disengaged
    with in AI mode selected, AI reverts to DIRECT.

14. The color for an SOS target is now dark grey.
    The color for neutral targets is now light blue.

15. The target dots in TACSCAN are now larger

16. The TACSCAN active/passive modes can now be toggled with 'r'.

17. Pilot skills and combat kills are now updated.

18. On planet, SC and IC joystick X is roll, (unless the ship is touching
    the ground, where it acts like nosewheel steering). Holding button
    2 on the stick will switch this to yaw in the air.

19. Numeric key 5 will autolevel more rapidly. In vtol it also reduces
    velocity to zero. The flight model is now disabled while the key
    is held down.

20. Left and right shift keys are now equivalent

21. ~ (SHIFT + `) sets your speed to that of the target

22. Realistic flight model instability corrected by putting the yaw model
    back the way it used to be.

23. Configuration file options in CONFIG should now work as expected.

24. Better support for graphics cards. To see a list of supported cards, enter
    BC3000AD /v? To use a specific card, enter BC3000AD /v# where # is the
    number of the card listed. ie BC3000AD /v1 will use a generic VESA card.

25. Save games should no longer crash on loading.

                                   KNOWN BUGS
                                   ----------

1.  On the surface, some objects are destroying others when they collide with
    them, ie mechs against buildings.  This is NOT a bug but object 1 inflicts
    enough damage on object 2 to destroy it.

2.  On the surface, some ground objects think they can fly.

3.  Orbital flight model still crashes making the o key obsolete

4.  The orbital flight model problem renders the probe ORBSCAN mode useless

5.  To dock an ATV with a shuttle, you should target the shuttle from the ATV
    and enter ctrl+d. For some reason, this is docking the shuttle with the BC

6.  Extending the tacOPS camera when in surface mode, results in an error
