Direct X 7.0 or better and compatible 8mb Video Card.
Sound Card*.
32mb Ram.
4mb Hard Drive space.
Windows 95,98,Millennium Edition or 2000 operating systems.

Joypad or Joystick*.

* optional.

Installation:

Simply unzip contents to a suitable folder.
Click on Chuckie1_1.exe to play.

How to play
-----------

The main introduction screen.
On the main screen you can use your mouse to make a number of selections.
The 3 main buttons involved are Hiscores, Play and Keyboard/joypad.

Move your mouse over the "Hiscores" button and the current top 5 scores for
Chuckie Egg will be displayed. To 'reset' the Hiscores delete the Hisc.ini
file from your Chuckie Egg folder.

Click on the "Play" button and you will start the game with the currently
selected options.

Click on the "Keyboard/Joypad" button and you will be able to toggle between
Keyboard or Joypad control systems. Whatever is displayed on the button is
the current control method.

Clicking on either the "PLUS" or "MINUS" buttons will adjust the speed of
the game to suit the player. Most systems will be fine on the default
setting. NOTE: the adjustment will not speed up or slowdown the game to any
vast extent, but it will give it a nice "tweak" to make it feel better to play.

Some recommendations for gamespeed: Tested on the following systems

 (-) -------------|--O--------- (+) = 400Mhz Pentium2 with a Geforce 2
Running on Windows 2000. 256mb Ram.

 (-) ----O--------|------------ (+) = 600Mhz Pentium3 with a TNT2
Running on Windows 2000. 128mb Ram.

 (-) ----------0--|------------ (+) = 1.3ghz Pentium4 with a Geforce 3
Running on Windows 2000. 640mb Ram.

Once you start the game all these settings: Gamespeed and Joypad/keyboard
control are saved so you won't need to change them every time you start a game!

Aim of the game
---------------

The aim of the game is to guide hapless farmer Charlie Chuck around his rivals'
egg factory, and steal back Chucks eggs that Farmer Giles stole. But Farmer Giles
has left his highly trained killer Chickens guarding his horde of stolen eggs and
Chuck MUST not touch them at any cost. Also Chuck has to keep an eye on the skies
for Giles' patrolling Duck!

So collect ALL the eggs on each level and avoid touching or being touched by any
of Giles' Hen-ch men!! Also collecting any piles of grain will give you extra
points too! Complete the levels in double quick time and you may get a time
bonus aswell :)

Good luck and collect those eggs...
