This is the readme text for IDC.exe, a Windows program written by Marc Azoulay
of France for use in the H2HMud International Doomers Competition.

This program will run under Windows 3.1 or Windows 95.

(Windows 3.1 users read the Special Note).

Unzip the IDC.zip and

Copy inicom3.vbx and threed.vbx to your /windows/system directory

Copy idc.ini to C:\ (it must be in C:\)

Copy idc.exe to any directory that you want.

Edit idc.ini to point toward your Doom 2 directory.

To install it, from the File drop-down menu in your Windoze File Manager,
choose "New".

The command line should be "C:\IDC.exe"
and the work directory should be your Doom2 directory.

Note: this program requires VBRun300.dll

This program does 3 things:

1). Let's you run Doom 2 within Windows.

2). Let's you record entries using H2HMudCE.wad
(which must be in your Doom2 directory)

3). Fills out all the paperwork for you:
     H2H_form.txt (the entry form)
     File_ID.diz
     Notify.txt (the entry notification form)

a). It will make a subdirectory in your Doom2 directory that
has the same name as your entry and create the filled out
entry form, file_id.diz and notify.txt forms.

b). It does not zip your entry up for you.

!!!!!!IMPORTANT NOTE for Windows 3.1 users!!!!!!!

If you run Doom II (tm) from within Windows 3.1 you must turn off both
music and sound (use the -nomusic and -nosound parameters). If you
don't your system will lock-up and require you to re-boot your machine.

When you are prompted for additional parameters, make sure you put

-nomusic -nosound

on the line as well as any other parameters you choose.

Use this program at your own risk.
