Welcome to BurgerTimeWARP! -- Our homepage www.cdworld.co.uk/craig

Burgertime, the name and idea (C) is probably to Data East.
But I think this version is changed enough to be (C) to us.

V.90 Demo

Anyway..

This is a pre-release, don't distribute. The full version is right
on the tail of this. www.cdworld.co.uk/craig

4) Others

Controls:

Joystick/joypad - just pick it up and use it (I prefer the keys - the
game is designed to be played on the keyboard!).

Keyboard:
Arrowkeys can be used or
'o' and 'p' or 'u' and 'i' as left and right.
'q' and 'a' as up and down.
Space, right CTRL or left CTRL as fire.

'M' - STOPS the music
'N' - re-STARTS the music

To complete a level you must get all the burger parts to the bottom of
the screen - try the training levels if you have never played before.

Collect the food and drink to gain extra pepper sprays - they stun
the bad guys for a few seconds in which you can walk past them.

For a bonus score try the following:

Multiple crushing:
If you hit a baddie with a bit of food when its on a ladder it will
be bashed off every step as it falls giving you bonus points the more
steps it hits, it also makes a satisfying sssssqqquuuiiissssshhhhh
sound while it happends. I'll have to put a big ladder on a level ;)

Big bonus:
Can you get past a level without using a pepper spray?

Hi-Scores are saved.

---Info about the game and us---

Well welcome to our 2nd big production, I think this time we have taken
more care in the presentation (not easy on the PC!) and the game looks
and feels good (Like an Amiga game!).

I know this is not an exact conversion its more of an update,
some things have been changed like the graphics, some level layouts etc.
although I do plan to include all the original levels from the Arcade
version (Unless DataEast decide its not going to happen : ).

Other stuff:
Burgers don't have multiple falling anymore?
Thats right, but I might put it back in (Makes it a bit easy).

About the game:
The game has been written in C with the help of Allegro for loading
the GFX and Seal for the sound. The game should work on all graphics
cards, however the S3 card may have some problems but the program
should automatically sort them out, the game should also configure
itself for max performance.

The problem is that the S3 seems to have slow lo-res performance, it
hates mode-x it would appear... a display doctor might help this.
If you have a P100 or something like that you probably won't notice
but 486 owners will. :-/

If the game seems to run too fast or too slow please drop me an email
saying what system and video card you are running-> craig@cdworld.co.uk

The game should lock to 24FPS but things can go wrong... (I don't have
any other systems to test it on)

I'm still looking for a job :( I will work for unlimited potato wedges.
(With sour cream dip - and NOT McDonalds ones - yuck!)
I can code C/ASM/Pascal/C++/VB/Z80(!)/Gameboy etc.

Helen (who did the gfx) would also like a job with computers, she's
good at drawing as you can see in the game!

Yes. Matt is 'the' 4Matt from the Amiga scene (just incase you were
going to ask :)

Zooming in and out?
The game was supposed to include a lot of 3D stuff but its been put on
hold as I had problems with the said video card...

Screen saver:
You may have noticed the screen saver style thing where the burgers
pile up. Neat eh? I might release it as a screen saver for win9x.

Burger Time-PeeCee made by:

Craig Rothwell - The program - Craig@cdworld.co.uk
Helen Foote - The graphics - Helen@cdworld.co.uk
Matt Simmonds - The music

Coming soon...
Deathchase - a 3D shoot'em'up on a motor bike.
Wonderboy 3 - Maybe a PC version, this is just an idea were throwing
about - we will probably need more people to pull it off.
Something on the Colour Gameboy - As stated, probably commercial.

Other games I had something to do with (you can get some of these
from the homepage):

Jetset Miner Willy PC - A PC version of the Spectrum game Jetset Willy.

Khaos Krypter - Amiga/PC encryption program - very small (20k) but
effective program for hiding your private docs or
your porn piccys :) Works with a key that can be
an unlimited size (even another file if you like).
Can add 'red herrings' to the encrypted file.

'Craig Rothwell's Space Invaders' - A weird Space Invaders game with
lots of 3D effects, this is a
conversion of an amiga game I made
years ago when I was a youngster.

Tetris Pro - A (dodgy) version of Amiga Tetris Pro for the PC.
(written in a few days I think)

Nimbix - A Sonic The Hedgehog clone for the Amiga. Code by me, GFX
         by me, Music by Matt.
(I don't have a copy of this anymore...)

Spike's Manic Miner worlds - A version of Manic Miner for the Amiga.
(I don't have a copy of this either)

Mr.Pap Vs. the Alien Sphere Creatures - One of my fave own games, a
					platform adventure for the
Amiga. (I'm going to get this
					into an ADF file.)

RIP (never finnished) - A platform adventure, used part of my Nimbix
engine with some of the paralax scrolling and
			underwarter bits. Was quite good.
