I started this work as an exercise to learn how to create syn-
thetic scenery that I could add to my Montana/Wyoming airports.
I've since learned that synthetic scenery is MUCH easier than
making roads and rivers, so don't expect many of those in my
MT/WY, if I ever get around to releasing it.

The Quad Cities are: Moline and Rock Island Illinois, and Daven-
port and Bettendorf Iowa. There are very many smaller communities
        scattered around the area.

I've included the QUAD CITY AIRPORT (MLI), also known as Moline
Airport, DAVENPORT MUNI (DVN) north of Downtown Davenport and
McNEIL's FIELD (C95) which is out Barstow Road just east of East
Moline and north of Carbon Cliff. Runway lighting is as accurate
as possible with AIRPORT121. All ILS runways have IM, MM and OM
at accurate locations. LAND-ME is available at all airports, on
the non-ILS runways usually mostly by light aircraft.

The Mighty Mississloppy is placed as close as I could get it
within the restraints of block scenery. There is nothing I can do
about that. The center at Moline is further north than it should
be, so the Rock Island Arsenal is misplaced as well. Downtown
Moline and Rock Island are joined, which is not true in reality.

McNeil Field is as it was 25 years ago, when it was Wood's Air-
port. This is where I learned to fly. It's easy to get there from
QC Airport. Just fly east along the Rock River until you pass the
bluffs on the left, then turn north past Carbon Cliff and look
for the t-hangars. There are trees placed where I remember them,
and pretty much to scale (sorry, tree huggers). They were fright-
ening to me at less than 800 feet! That is why I remember them so
well. They were indeed that close to the south end of the air-
strip. You will have to select VERY DENSE scenery to see these.
To complicate things, there are elevated power lines running next
        to Barstow road!

Put QUADCITY.BGL into the ..\SCENERY directory you want
to use and put the .OAV files into it's
associated ..\TEXTURE directory. If you already
have .OAV files from a version of AIRPORT previous to
version 1.21, you must replace them with those included
with this package. Example: you have all of your .OAV
files in the \FLTSIM5\TEXTURE directory. There are more
texture files associated with AIRPORT 1.21
(AIRPT121.ZIP), but I have not included them with this
package. This saves just a little bit of space.

            Version 1a - December 22, 1995
            ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
            a) Fixes crossed I-80 roads east of C95.
            b) Added hill where BlackHawk State Park should be.
            c) Put smaller hedges around C95.
            d) Changed polygons around DVN and C95 so they are no
longer concave. Should fix any blinking some of you were
experiencing. Still will not work well with FS5.0.
            e) Increased the range of ILS signals to something more
            realistic.

            Version 1b - December 28, 1995
            ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
            a) Re-compiled everything using SCASM 1.45, and utilized
some new features in AIRPORT 1.21. Most notably, drawing
            taxiways with the ROUTE function.
            b) Added taxiways, ramps and buildings to MLI and DVN.
            c) Used a new feature in AIRPORT 1.21 to utilize varia-
ble range. To turn on all building you must turn scenery
complexity to DENSE. Roads and trees are not visilbe
unless complexity is set to VERY DENSE.
            d) Utilized a new windsock that looks much more like the
            real thing, finally.
