*** Welcome to DA PAK! ***
		   --------------------------

Eight Base style maps. Server mod for enhanced DM. Awesome gameplay.
Two words. Can you say: "KICK ASS"?

-------------------------------------------------------------------

  Unzip dapak.zip into that directory.

Append -game dapak to the command line when starting quake.

For the startmap set the appropriate temp1 bit (see below)
and append -game dapak +map dapak

-------------------------------------------------------------------
* The Server Mod:

the following features are controlled by adding the integer value
to the right of the feature to the temp1 variable on the server
before starting the map [set by typing 'temp1 #' at the console
  of the server].
  they are self-explanatory i think...

i.e. to play with extra gibs, random respawn order, and no quad,
type 'temp1 98' at the server console without the quotes.
  [64 + 32 + 2 = 98]

It's a good idea to enter your favorite setup into the autoexec.cfg
  in your dapak folder

-------------------------------------------------------------------

    no powerups = 1
    no quad = 2
    no ring = 4
    no pentagram = 8
    2 minute quad respawn time = 16
    random respawn order = 32
    more gibs! = 64
    5 second respawn protection = 128

    alternate item setup = 256
random choice of item setup = 512 (50% chance either setup)

    allow observer mode = 1024

    enable startmap = 2048

n.b. notice that certain combinations are redundant
[like no quad AND no powerups]

* More Features

deathmatch 3	: like deathmatch 1, except permanent weapons.

no messages	: no pickup messages for weapons, armor, etc.

time warning : if there is a timelimit, players are notified every 5
minutes, at the 2 minute warning, and the last 10 seconds.

balanced start : you lose all items upon level change. also, only weapons
and powerups are available if deathmatch 2 is set.

better ammo	: you get 50 nails when you pickup either nailgun, 20 shells
from the supershotgun, and 20 cells from the thunderbolt.

smart switch : you never switch to rl or gl by getting a backpack, and
never auto-switch to thunderbolt while in the water [or
                   lava :]

suicide hotline : only allows a player to 'kill' 5 times per level...just
so someone doesn't keep suiciding over and over.

bonus feature : sv_aim is set to 2 when a level begins. i just had to
                   do this =)
