0. System requisitions

The program needs your system to include none but two very common items,
a monitor and a video card, both VESA-compatible with capabilities for a
resolution of 1280 x 1024 @ 8 bits-per-pixel (256 colors). But since these
are also recommended by the DEPRISONMENT itself, you certainly should govern
these already at this point.

1. File creating, loading & saving

You can give a file name of an existing map file at the command line to load
it, or you can press space at the dialog coming up if you don't give any
parameters to EDITMAP. The dialog also lets you create a new map file. Notice:
entering a file name of an existing file here tells the program to overwrite
the old file. If you create a new file, you are also prompted the dimensions of
your new map. The recommended sizes are between 20-63.
In any case, you are still asked for the briefing text and the objectives of
your level. To change the text, you are asked for a text file from which the
text (max. 1000 bytes) is loaded. Next, you are asked for the objectives.
Entering -1 here means the player will have to liquidate every bad guy before
leaving. 0 means you simply have to get your ass out the building. Giving a
positive value means the player'll have to save that much fellow prisoners
before exiting.
The file is automatically saved when you exit the program.

2. The main mode

This is where you select the block type currently under placement.
Arrows up and down switch the arrow selecting the square type to be placed.
Return enters the square-placing mode with the currently selected type.
'Q' (lowercase) exits this phase and moves on to the player-select mode.

3. The square-placing mode

You enter here only through the main mode [return] command. Here can you place
the blocks at the right places and actually design the map of your dreams.
Arrows up, down, left and right move the cursor to desired locations.
Space puts the block at the cursor.
'D' (lowercase) is a on/off toggle for the Draw Mode. If this toggle is on, the
block is automatically placed everywhere you move the cursor.
'Q' (lowercase) exits this mode and returns to the main mode.

4. The player-select mode

This is the final step towards returning back to DOS. Here you just select the
place from which the player starts from.
Arrows up, down, left and right move the cursor.
'T' turns the direction of the figure clockwise (up,right, down, left,up).
Space outputs the figure at cursor, saves the map & exits.
