                  MODULATION SYNTHESIZER 1.0 for WINDOWS
                                (ModSyn10)

When I began to write this program my first goal was to create samples that
I can use in mod editors (like Fast Tracker) or samplers. Now it is possible
to play a tune (not only a sound) and record it in a wave file, and all of it
could be your own creation. Well, what is this anyway?

This is a software synthesizer. The program is shareware.
With this program you can create:
          - sounds
          - tunes
          - noises,
or just use it for fun.

The input could be the computer or a synthesizer keyboard (if you can
attach it to your computer via MIDI).

The program works with (max 8) operators. An operator can be:
        1. oscillator
        2. ADSR envelope generator
        3. Mixer

- Any operator's output can modulate the other's or its own parameters.
- You can add or subtract operators to play with the really needed ones.
- You can watch the output of any operators with the built-in Scope.
- If you like what you have done you can save it in a patch file (with
the ms1 extension) to preserve it or to share it with other users of
MODSYN (only in the registered version!).
- You can save a sound or a whole tune in a *.wav file in Windows
Wave format to use it in another programs, instruments.
- Adjustable the sample rate (11025, 16000, 22050, 32000, 44100, 48000),
the wave buffer length (to reach the lowest response time that
your soundcard and its driver can do without any noise),
the wave out and the midi in device,
and of course all the parameters of the operators.

 System requirements:

        - 486DX/33 (P100 is recommended)
        - Windows 3.1 or later
        - Sound card ( for real time play, Turtle Beach Hurricane
technologies cards recommended, like the Multisound family)

To install MODSYN create a directory such as C:\MODSYN and unzip the files
here. You do not have to copy anything to Windows or other directory, modsyn
uses only his own. Then from Windows run modsyn.exe. You can create a link
 to it if you want.
To uninstall MODSYN simply delete the whole directory where it is.

If you have suggestions or found bugs feel free to send in.

I continue the work to keep the program as bug-free as possible and to
 develope it.

To register ModSyn10 read the help under Windows.
