This file contains important information you will need for installing Money
Tree v.1.0 onto your computer as well as information on the latest changes
and instructions for contacting us.

Please read this file carefully before beginning installation of this
program.

Please see the Limitations section for more information on what you can and
cannot do with this release.

Important: For Preview Release Users
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you downloaded the Preview Release of Money Tree, you may install v.1.0
directly on top of the Preview Release. When the install program asks if
you want to update Money tree, just indicate YES.

Important: For Beta Testers
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you participated in our private beta program, you'll notice many changes
here, including a new, faster database, faster ledger response, a variety
of bugs and "undocumented features" have been removed, and many new
features have been added. Functions which have been missing from previous
betas have been added here, including transfers, split transactions and the
calculator and calendar functions.

Limitations of Money Tree v.1.0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This version of Money Tree is fully functional in all ways with the
exception of being restricted to the manual entry of 12 transactions per
ledger. You may still import, display and use an unlimited number of
transactions for testing purposes, but you cannot enter more than 12 new
transactions manually. When you purchase Money Tree, we'll send you a key
to unlock all features. See Purchase Information later in this file.

OS/2 Warp 4, with any Fixpak except FP3 (FP3 has been replaced by FP4)

Installation Instructions:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Although we have taken reasonable precautions to assure a safe
installation, we highly recommend you back up your system before beginning.
Please refrain from using or starting other processes while the
installation or deinstallation is in progress.

To Install
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Extract all of the files included in the archive file into a temporary
directory. If you have downloaded the multiple zip files, unzip all of them
into the same directory.

2. Open a folder view of the temporary directory and double click on
"install.exe" to run it OR open a command line window, change into the
temporary directory and type  "install" followed by the enter key

3. Read the License aggreement, then press the "Continue" button in the
"Instructions" window if you agree to the terms

4. Press "Ok" at the "Install this product?" dialog

5. At the next dialog, select "Money Tree" in the upper list box

6. Enter the drive and path for the directory where you want Money Tree
installed

7. Press the "Install" button

8. After the first installation phase is complete, reboot your system to
finish the installation process, during which the Money Tree objects will
be created.

Purchasing Money Tree

There are several ways to purchase Money Tree. All routes, however, lead
back to our exclusive distributor, BMT Micro.

Once you have downloaded Money Tree from an available site and installed
it, you may run the purchase program in the Money Tree Utilities folder.
This will allow you to purchase from BMT Micro. They will email you a
registration number which will unlock Money Tree's full functionality.

Or, go to BMT Micro's web site at http://www.bmtmicro.com to purchase and
download. At this time Money Tree is only available via download. It is not
available on diskette or CDROM.

If you signed up for the pre-release $10 off special, Mount Baker Software
will contact you via email. If you don't hear from us by the end of
October, please contact us via the support page at
