INFOPAD v1.2
========================================================================
What is InfoPad?
Its a "dashboard" program, i.e. it show you all sort of things like:
. Date in your default format
. Time in your default format
. CPU activity, with lots of choices
    . Swapper size
. Disks info, with LED display and/or color bar graph

How much configurable it is?
Well, pretty much! The first time you start it, it will take all
the bottom of the screen (Horizontal mode). You can then adjust
the height to your own preference, and if you change the width
to include just the CPU bar, InfoPad will change itself to Vertical
mode. You can also select exactly what you want in the setup.
Of course, you can drop a font to change the 'static' text & time.

What mouse buttons do what?
    Holding a button and dragging:
. Moves InfoPad, with some special effect(*).
(*) Thanks to Dan Akselrod <danax@menger.eecs.stevens-tech.edu> for that!
    Clicking the right button:
    . Pops the menu.
    Double-clicking the left button:
    . Pops a simple tasklist.

Rules for sizing
Because InfoPad is very graphic oriented, some sizing may display
weird things. Please keep in mind that this behavior is normal 'cause
its *you* who design the way it looks, whatever its running in 640x480
or 1280x1024... If by example a box overflow another, just size the 'Pad
a little more to meet your spec.

    Horizontal mode
. This release must have some space to put both the LED display and
      Bar graph
. There is a position where the Bar graph will not contains text values,
when its smaller than the height of the current font.
. The disk selection is always available in the disk option in the menu,
even if you don't show all of them with the 'Pad.

    Vertical mode
. Changing the width do not give more fonctionnality.
. Changing the height add more space for disks only.

========================================================================
MENU
    Exit
. Well, I hope you'll notice, it will exit InfoPad after saving the
configuration in infopad.ini, located where you start it.
    About
. What? You haven't look at it before???
    Lock
. An alternative to the normal Lockup. A password **MUST** be present
in the desktop settings before trying it.
It give a, hmmm, negative view of your screen... Just type your
usual password to get back to normal mode.
    Setup
    . See the next chapter
    Disks
. Enable the DiskPad. This 'Pad show all the selected disks. To remove,
      just de-select this settings.
. You can move the DiskPad with the left button when it select a region at
the uppermost of the window, where an titlebar should be.
    Boss
. When a boss is coming, what do you do? Try it... and remember that
Ctrl-Esc can always brings back a desktop!

========================================================================
SETUP
  DISKS
. You select which disk you want to see in DiskPad and when space is
      available in InfoPad.
  TIME
. Well, if that is not self-explaining...
  MISC.
    Show leading 0's.
    . Will put 0010 instead of 10
    Always on top
. Put the 'Pad on top of overlapping windows.
    Agressive CPU
. Won't give the idle CPU time left to others. That will not affect
normal priority programs, just those who are relying on idle time
to do stuff. Its here mainly because some time you want to see all
the CPU activity, and that setting will help in that case.
  SWAPPER
    Enabled
. If you don't want it, the space will be available for a disk.
    Slider (from 10 to 100 by 10)
. You choose the max. value you want the Bar graph to be based on.
  CPU
    Bar and %
. Standard LED display and Bar graph.
    Graph & Avg.
. Graphic display of CPU usage with a darkgray background showing the
average CPU usage based on the last 100 sec.
    Graph
    . Graphic display only.
  BAR TITLE
    %
. Show the used value in %, so 10 Mb. left out of 30 is 33%
    Value
. Show the capacity of the disk, even for CD-ROM
    Text
. Show the type of filesystem: FAT, HPFS, NETWARE,
         LAN for Lan Server,
CDFS for data CD-ROM (??? with the tray is empty)
Audio when it recognized an Audio CD-ROM
         Swap for the Swapper size

What's next???

Multi-lingual version
Due to a stupid mistake, I've put Warp Connect over my Boot drive, you
know, the one that is *not* in the automatic backup list ... but I
swear that all my users here have *theirs* data saved :o(
Well, it was supposed to be available but I've lost my e-mail list, so
if those who have sent the traduction could send a note, I'd be glad
to put the informations ON PAPER!!!

======================================================================
How much???
Hmm, good question! You have 3 choices:
. Let say it is shareware, and you are invited to send $5 if you like it.
. You like it, but you have never sent money, and you wont... Well, this
program is postcardware, and you must send a postcard of your city!
. Neither of those? Okay, drop an e-mail AT LEAST! :o)
