Software Giants announce Emacs Santa Claus edition

Redmond, VA/Boston, Mass In a joint interactive on-line press
conference on the World Wide Net, Bill Gates and President Stall
M. Richman of the UNG Software Company announced their joint release
of The Santa Claus edition of text-editor Emacs for the MS-Dos
computer system. Gates claimed that this release is targeted towards
the next generation of computer users. Richman stated that the
combination of UNG's famous absence of warranty, and Gates' unique
absence of reliability combined into a product no-one can do without.
According to insiders, Richman, now president of UNG Software
Enterprises (UNG is a so-called recursive acronym, it stands for ``Ung
is Not Gratis'') is tipped as a candidate for the succession of Bill
Gates.
Analysts expect that, if Emacs Santa Claus edition is combined
with the famous UNG text formatter Frogg and the macro package Excel
through a common look-and-feel-and-weep interface, this would pose a
serious threat to the increasing popularity of competing systems like
Linux. The Swedish professor Torvald Linux, founder of Linux
Computers, stated that his window system was more stabilized than the
joint Gates/Richman product and that he did not fear the competition.
