Introduction

Hello, and welcome to Psyworld! Your name is Psyian, you have been chosen to clean-up Psyworld. Psyworld was once a place of beauty and tranquility, where the people of Psyworld could live in peace. Now it has been overrun by countless hordes of creatures. The elders of Psyworld have had enough, they've turned to you for help. It's up to you to rid Psyworld of all its unwelcome guests. Have you got what it takes?...

Options

When you have correctly installed Psyworld and you run the game for the first time, you will come to the main menu (see below). Here you can select 'OPTIONS', by using the cursor keys. When 'OPTIONS' is highlighted press 'Return' to take you to the next page.

The following screen will be presented after selecting 'OPTIONS'. Note, When playing the game for the first time, it is recommended that you do not change the settings given below. As these settings are considered to be best for the first-time user.

The above options explained, are as follows (from top the bottom):

Initial Lives
This is the amount of lives you are given when starting the game. This option's default value is 4, and can be adjusted anywhere from 0-5 inclusive.

Bonus Lives
Bonus lives will be awarded for every 50,000pts you clock-up on your score. If you disable this option you will not gain any extra lives as you play.

SFX Volume
This controls the volume of sound effects in the game as well as in the menu.

Music Volume
This controls the volume of the music in the game as well as in the menu.

CHEATS!!!
The following subset of options are 'cheats', that have been added to make the game more fun and bring about more possibilities. However, when playing for the first time, it's best not to use any cheats.

Turbo Mode
This cheat makes the game run really fast! You need lots of skill to play like this though. :)

Morpheous Mode
With this cheat enabled, you can jump extremely high, since the universal gravity constant has been reduced.

Sub-Micron Mode
Allows you to play the game as normal, with the only difference being, all characters are micro-sized equivalents to normal. This makes the levels feel even larger!

Emergency Mode
As the name implies, this cheat puts Psyian into a state of emergency, where he continuously keeps moving, even when you let go of the controls!

Brundle Mode
Now you can be a fly too, zzz z zz zzz... Every time you press the 'jump' button, Psyian will fly upwards a little.

No Timer Mode
The usual time-limit of 100 seconds is disabled by this cheat. You can now take as long as you like to complete levels. (Tip: use this cheat to practice any difficult levels you encounter.)

Mack Mode
There's no gun like the 'mack-gun'. With this much fire power, you can blow to bits any predator that gets in your way!!!

How to Play

As Psyian, your goal is to clear away all the baddies found on each level. To make things even harder, you have a time limit of 100 seconds per level.
