The planet Fenris, Home of the Space Wolves Chapter of the Space Marines, has been invaded by the Tyranids. The tyranids are a race imimical to all other living things. They possess no tecnology, but fashion their tools and weaponry from organic tissues. You must protect both your fortresses and the primitive humans that you share this world with.

Notes:

Just unzip and copy all files into your civ2 directory.

There's a bug that I haven't figured out yet if you play as the Tyranids(the game crashes at the end of turn one, but you should give it a try just for the carnage), so you should stick to the Space Wolves and Fenri.

Terrain 1 and 2.gif, units.gif and rules.txt are modified and should be backed up on your computer before unzipping.

I had to modify some of the terrain art so that I could have an ice world, but still be playable. So the primitves have developed the art of "ice farming" on certain patches of tundra and glaciers.

All of these charecters belong to Games Workshop, except for the ones I did not modify from the original Civ units. The rest belong to MicroProse. I made the scenario mainly because I was disappointed when "Warhammer 40K: Dark Crusaders" was canceled a few weeks before it was due to be shipped (even though it was reviewed in the July issue of PC Gamer). I enjoyed making the monsters for that game, and I wanted to see them used. I remade all the models myself at home; I did not use any of the art from Dark Crusaders. I think these models are a lot better, even if they are small. I've been out of work for two weeks, and for the last four days I've been working on this. This scenario can be put into a compilation disc, posted on the Internet, or used as a jumping-off point for another scenario, but it can't be modified and this text file has to accompany it. I've also got a great Giger alien I built (I don't own that either; some movie studio does), but I can't figure out how to get it into "Duke Nukem 3d," which is my next project. If anyone wants to see my artwork and would like to give me a job, I can be reached at Sporeboy1@aol.com. (That's it for the legal stuff.)

A working knowlege of "Warhammer 40K" helps, but I made a brief rundown of the different units just in case.

A rundown of new troop types:
Tyranid troops--
Worker Drones, a specialized non-combat type of termagant.
Termagant, primarily defensive troops, not found too far from tyranid bases.
Genestealers, fast and deadly shock troops, dropped onto the battlefield by mycetic spores.
Tyranid Warriors, front-line troops, the mainstay of the tyranid workforce and one of the few troops to possess a rudimentary intelligence outside of the hive group-mind.
Hormagaunts, invasion troops, very fast all-terrain shock troops, not as deadly as the stealers.
Lictor, a fearsome, sulking, nearly invisible monstrosity--the "eyes" of the hive-mind.
Gargoyles, winged monsters, often the first tyranid troops seen in a battle.
Carnifex, a living engine of destruction, evolved for shock attacks.
Spore Mines, floating balloon bombs that rain death upon dug-in enemy forces.
Zoanthrope, an atrophied off-shoot of the tyranid warrior with immense psychic powers. (Money in civ terms represents the hive-mind's psychic potential, so a zoanthrope may psychically "bribe" enemy forces or may steal tecnologies that it may need right from the minds of your citizens)
Hybrids, after the tyranids have settled in, they will start churning out mutant humans in their war for domination.
Space Wolf troops--
Space Marines, the mainstay of the Wolves, a very good defensive fighter.
Dreadnought, a powerful Space Wolf soldier encased in ancient tomb-armor to be called upon in dire need.
Blood Claws, younger Space Marines eager to prove themselves in battle.
Terminators, Space Marine Tactical Dreadnought Armor, perfect for ground assaults.
Land Raider, a defensive tank.
Leman Russ Battle Tank, a powerful tank with four cannons.
ThunderHawk Gunship, provides excellent air cover.
Wolf Guard Hardend Space Marine veterans in terminator armour
Initiates, natives of the planet that have been recruited to prove themselves worthy; if they succed they will become Blood Claws, but if they fail and live they may become House Guards. Many initiates choose to remain and fight in their home villages.
Vortex Bomb, a powerful weapon that shatters the barriers between reality and warpspace; the only weapon that can be certain of destroying a carnifex, but with its drawbacks.
@end -- this line must be here!
