Version 1.5 Release Date: November 15, 1993

Version 1.5 Information
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, I did these changes a long time ago but have recently realized that
there is nothing much else to do in regards to the save files, and there
is a very good map editor by holger, so my interest in creating anything
more for civilization is minimal. Below are the only differences between
the version I released previously (Version 1.0) and this one (Version 1.5).

Put colors into the units screens as well as the cities.

Added some sort algorithms in both Cities and Units.

Added a mask editing window for editing the city's improvements and
also in the tech's known screen.

Made some minor alterations to code operation.

Fixed some help texts and added a few.

Other minor stuff non mentionable or memorable.

Other than that, there is nothing else different between the versions.

People have stated that I did not include much documentation in this editor.

Sorry, but I feel that I've left enough information to get what you want
out of the program. I feel that if you don't understand how to do something,
you probably should be doing it or attempting it in the first place.

One resource material I would highly reccommend for any civ players out there
is the civ faq. These people have gone overboard in collecting all usefull
information pertaining to civilization.

Below is a copy of version 1.0's readme.txt file, included for historical
purposes.

As always, have fun and remember this: don't get yourself mixed up with
some wild aztecs with nukes. They'll double cross you every time.

Notes on Release:
===============================

Fixed alot of bugs and included some suggestions for the release.
Like I have stated many times before, this is not a complete editor, just
enough to get you by. Any more comments and suggestions would be really
welcome. I am MOST interested in anyone know what encryption algorithm is
used on the map file. I am not too good at decyphering encryption and
any help would be extremely appreciated.

Notes for Beta:
===============================

I did some MINOR play-testing to see what works and what doesn't, and have
found that there is still much to do. This file contains misc. information
about the program and what is not included in the internal help file.

This program will allow you to edit civilization save games, it will edit the
civilization's city/unit/misc. attributes plus other stuff including the unit's
actual information for all the civ's in the game. There are many features that
I have seen incorporated in simple programs all over the place and the way this
program developed was that I originally wrote a program to edit the units and
felt like creating a program that edits all of the stuff that I've found in the
save file to date.

As it is with most editors, make backups of your save files before editing
them, thereby keeping unwanted edits to stay permanent.

[Email addresses, etc. deleted because of overflow of inane mail]

This program is freeware, so what you see is whatyaget!
