How To Use This Patch
---------------------

        1. First put the disk in your A: drive and copy the PSPATCH.ZIP
           file into your Pacific Strike directory. You should type,
           from the A: drive, "COPY PSPATCH.ZIP C:\<DIRECTORY>".
        
        2. Once you have copied it to the Pacific Strike directory,
           then change into your Pacific Strike directory and type: 
                         "PKUNZIP PSPATCH.ZIP"
           This will unzip the files needed to patch the game.

        3. Type "PATCH" from the Pacific Strike directory and
           it will start the utility which will make changes to your
           PACIFIC.DAT and PACIFIC.EXE files. This will take about 5
           minutes. Once the patch is done, your game will now be
           updated to version F1.19.  Type "PACIFIC" to start
           start the game.


What This Patch Does
--------------------

This patch fixes these 9 things:

        1. The Thrustmaster cooley hat will now allow you to pan in
           the cockpit.

        2. Endgame 1 lock-up at the first action sphere after
           destroying Tojo when using F6 view for the first wave of
           3 Franks does not occur anymore.

        3. Instant Missions-The "Attack Carrier" objective has been
           removed from the Claude selection option.  

        4. The dive bombing artificial intelligence of the Japanese and the
           Americans has been changed to increase accuracy of all planes.

        5. You will hear no gun firings when you run out of bullets.

        6. Minor enhancements have been made to improve the frame rate
           when flying over land.

        7. Gun convergence has been implemented, making it easier
           to obtain hits at different ranges.

        8. Now, depending on what level you selected: Ace: Veteran, Rookie
           the weapon effect has been further adjusted to skill/realism
           level.

        9. The F3 key now looks out left, F4 looks out right.
