            WINDOWS 95 BOOT DISK MAKER
for Falcon 3.0 and Falcon Gold
               Spectrum HoloByte
                    10/18/95
        =================================

This program will make a boot disk that creates an optimized
Windows 95 system configuration for use with Falcon 3.0 or a
full installation of Falcon Gold. (This boot disk maker will
not work with only a CD-ROM install of Falcon Gold.)

In order for this program to work properly, please read and
follow the instructions below. If you're installing this
from a floppy disk, skip right to step #2.

NOTE: You must reboot Windows 95 in MS-DOS mode
FIRST before launching the boot disk maker. Make
sure you're COMPLETELY out of Windows 95! You
will also need a blank floppy disk to format for
your drive A. Have one ready.

1) If you download FAL95.EXE from our BBS or any of our
   supported on-line services:

   a) Download the FAL95.EXE directly into the Falcon 3.0
directory or the Falcon Gold directory. Or you can
download FAL95.EXE into its own directory and then copy
the file into the Falcon 3.0 or Falcon Gold directory.

   b) Change to your Falcon 3.0 or Falcon Gold directory
(usually by typing "CD\FALCON3" or "CD\FALCONCD").

   c) At the DOS prompt, type "FAL95" and press Enter. This
will extract the files for the boot disk maker program.

   d) When you see the DOS prompt again, type "BOOTMKR" and
press Enter again to run the boot disk maker program.

   e) Follow the instructions onscreen to create the Windows
95 boot disk for Falcon 3.0 and Falcon Gold.

   f) Once the boot disk is made and the mouse driver
(MOUSE.COM or MOUSE.EXE) is on the boot disk, reboot
your computer with the boot disk in drive A. When
your computer is finished booting, you will see an
A:\> prompt. Change to the drive where Falcon 3.0 or
Falcon Gold is installed (for example, type "C:" if
the game is on drive C). Then change to the directory
where Falcon 3.0 or Falcon Gold is installed (for
example, type "CD\FALCON3" or "CD\FALCONCD"). Now
      you can run the game.

2) If you copy the Windows 95 boot disk maker from a floppy
   disk:

   a) Change to your floppy drive (usually by typing "A:"
      and pressing Enter).

   b) Copy all the files from the floppy disk to your Falcon
3.0 or Falcon Gold directory. If you have not changed
directory names from "FALCON3" or "FALCONCD," follow
      the instructions below:

For Falcon 3.0 (floppy disk version)
      ------------------------------------
If Falcon 3.0 is on drive C,
type "COPY *.* C:\FALCON3" and press Enter.

If Falcon 3.0 is not on drive C, substitute the
appropriate drive letter for "C" in the above
      example.

For Falcon Gold (the CD-ROM version)
      ------------------------------------
If Falcon Gold is on drive C,
type "COPY *.* C:\FALCON CD" and press Enter.

If Falcon Gold is not on drive C, substitute the
appropriate drive letter for "C" in the above
      example.

   c) Change to the drive where you installed Falcon 3.0 or
Falcon Gold. (For example, if the game is on drive C,
      type "C:" and press Enter.)

   d) Change to the directory where you installed Falcon 3.0
or Falcon Gold. (For example, type "CD\FALCON3" or
      "CD\FALCONCD").

   e) Type "BOOTMKR" and press Enter to run the boot disk
      maker.

   f) Once the boot disk is made and the mouse driver
(MOUSE.COM or MOUSE.EXE) is on the boot disk, reboot
your computer with the boot disk in drive A. When
your computer is finished booting, you will see an
A:\> prompt. Change to the drive where Falcon 3.0 or
Falcon Gold is installed (for example, type "C:" if
the game is on drive C). Then change to the directory
where Falcon 3.0 or Falcon Gold is installed (for
example, type "CD\FALCON3" or "CD\FALCONCD"). Now
      you can run the game.

NOTICE! If you have DriveSpace installed on your system, this
boot disk maker will not free up enough conventional memory
in order to run the game. You must remove DriveSpace from
your system in order for the boot disk maker to work properly.
