Lady in Black 1.0
-----------------

The Lady in Black is a CD Player with archive function.
It features:
- automatic CD recognition
- viewable CD archive, sorted by track name, artist name, album name or
track time (click on column header!)
- colors fully customizable (except the BLACK display background)
- low CPU usage
- Open Source
It does NOT provide access to the CDDB.COM database, i.e. you have to
input artist and track names by yourself.

The four buttons are self-explaining. Use the Play button to
pause/resume playback.

Mouse function:
- Left button (on text line) -> Edit text
- Left button (elsewhere) -> Move the window
- Right button -> Options menu

Artist names entered when the total CD time is displayed will be used
for the whole CD, except for tracks with own artist name input.

The archive is beeing saved in the plain textfile 'CDData.txt'. If you
change this file with an editor, use '|' and EOL characters only for
format purpose! Also, do not change lines beginning with '~', which are
required for CD identification!

Attention: The program sometimes hangs when changing the CD. (I don't
know, why.) All data you have input since the last program start will be
lost in this case. If you're going to archive your huge CD collection,
quit and restart the program regularly to minimize risk.

System Requirements:

Windows 95/98/NT
High Color Display

Installation/Deinstallation:

After you have unpacked the ZIP-Archive, the program is ready to go.
If you want the program to be included in the Start Menu, you need to do
this manually. To deinstall, simply delete the two files. The program
does not change the Windows system directory.
