CDmax                                                 03/05/1998
Version 1.5 Build 1.5.1.0

CDmax is a 32-bit Windows Audio CD player program.
It was developed and tested on Windows 95.
I have not tested it myself on Windows NT.
I have been told by several folks that it works fine.
And I have had a few reports of some minor problems.
I will try to get some test time on an NT machine
as soon as I can.

Version 1.5 changes
===================
1) added HTTP access support to CDDB
2) added support for mixed mode CDs
3) added multiple CD drive support
4) added Stop (continue) play on exit
5) added adjustable font on time display
6) added support for "continuously mixed" tracks;
   eliminates slight stopped that occured when tracks changed

Installation
============
CDmax is distributed as a ZIP file containing two files:
1)  ReadMe.txt (this file)
2) CDmax.exe (you can check version info in the about box
               or by right-clicking CDmax.exe, selecting
               Properties and viewing the Version tab)

Copy CDmax.exe to the directory of your choice and run it.
(If you are updating from any previous version, copy CDmax.exe
over the other one)

Features
========
Check the website listed below for features and future
development items.

Setup of CDDB Options
=====================
Assuming you have your Internet connection established, access
the CDmax Options panel and fill in the information on the CDDB
tabs. You will need to supply your Email address and the name of
your SMTP mail server. Check with your ISP if you are not sure
of the SMTP name. This data is needed in order to identify you
to the CDDB and to allow for return email if you should have
a submission reject from the CDDB. (more about this later)

There are a number of sites all over the world where the CDDB is
stored. You will need to retrieve a list of these sites before
you can retrieve any CD information. Press the button named
'Refresh Site and Category Lists'. This will populate the
Site to Query list. When complete, select a site.

You may need to adjust the number of seconds in 'Timeout'
depending on your response time.

Submissions
-----------
If you have a CD that is not in the CDDB, you can submit it for
inclusion, using CDmax. Once you have entered the required data,
submit the entry using the menu on the main panel. You can submit
changes to existing entries in this way. An email message will
be formatted and sent to the CDDB Admininstrators for inclusion
in the database.

Important Note:
---------------
If you submit an entry and for some reason it rejects, you will
receive an email message in return from the CDDB. Please forward
this message to the author of CDmax at the email address listed
below. This will assist in correcting the software if there are
problems.
