                ;

Tiny Viewer is a public domain file browser. This copy is a modification
by Larry Edwards of v-1.0, and was supplied as 4F-TV.COM with a shareware
copy of the 4FILES file manager. The v-1.0 copy was obtained from a
shareware distribution of DOSREF by Dave Williams.

I have found TV to be useful with 4FILES because the text display uses all
rows of the screen, and it shows text in whatever text colors are setup
in 4FILES. Buerg's LIST or the 4DOS internal LIST command may be more to
your liking however, since they have a text "find" feature, can display in
ASCII or hex, and show the current line number. TV lacks these features.
Neither Buerg's LIST nor the 4DOS LIST will display with a dark grey back-
ground, however, which is what I like. Switching your 4FILES configuration
between using LIST and TV.COM takes only moments, and the change can be made
  "session-only."

===============================================================================

TV is tiny (1008 bytes), it can view ANY size text file, it displays lines up
to 1024 characters wide, and it uses all rows of your display for text.
Version 2.0 is a modification that allows any number of rows to be displayed,
and which scrolls faster and smoother.

Ŀ
 HOW TO USE TV

   SYNTAX: 4F-TV d:\subdir\filename.ext

Capability: -- Text files of any size.
-- Can handle lines in excess of 2000 characters long.

When TV loads your file, it will be displayed FULL-screen, WITHOUT any kind
of status line to clutter up your screen. The keys TV recognizes are:

Home / End Go to the top/bottom of the file

PgUp / PgDn Scroll one page

       / Scroll one line

<- / -> Move screen left or right "One screen width, less 10 columns"

       ESC Quit

The screen can be scrolled a considerable distance to the right of the end
of text on a line. If using a mouse (mouse support is NOT built in, but
the mouse may be active if TV is called from another program), a fine
    touch is required.

Ŀ
 FINAL NOTE

One final note: TV is to be considered a Public Domain program. What
does that mean? It means that you can freely give it to anyone who wants a
copy. The only stipulation is this: you must include the file 4F-TV.TXT with
 evey copy of 4F-TV.COM.
