Sound

Sensiva Help Home > Customize Sensiva > Creating and Editing an Action > Sound

Sensiva can play any sound stored on disk or on your network to correspond to any action by running sound commands.

Event
Here you select the event that the sound will be associated with. For example, determining that the sound will be played at Sensiva startup.

Sound File
Here you select the sound that you would like to correspond with the action. There are two ways of selecting sounds.

By browsing for sounds
Click the Browse button to thew right of the sound file field and select the WAV file you want to be played from Sensiva's standard sounds.

By using a drag & drop operation
From the Windows Explorer or any other file manager, drag the icon of any WAV file to the Action Editor dialog box. Edit fields will be automatically filled.

There are also options for how Sensiva plays the sounds that you select.

Play as
Here you can set Sensiva to play a sound once, in a loop or you can stop the sound.

Wait Button
By clicking this toggle-state button (located above the Add button), you can stop the execution of the action until the sound has been completely played. Otherwise, the next command in the action is executed immediately after the beginning of the sound. Clicking this button is useful when there are several sound commands in the same action, so you can clearly hear every sound.

Click the Add button to add this command to the list.
