Application

Sensiva Help Home > Customize Sensiva > Using the Action Wizard > Application

Launch
Here you can set Sensiva to launch any program or open any document stored on your disk or network. Press the "Browse" button to provide a path to the application that you would like to launch. You can also drag and drop an application file into the provided field. Press the "Next" button. Now select the type of window that you want the application to be opened in. You may select a normal, maximized, or minimized window.

Menu
Sometimes a command cannot be executed by typing a hotkey. In this case, you may need to use the underlined characters in the application's toolbar menu. "Menu" allows you to access any function from a menu. You define a path to the desired command by entering the corresponding underlined characters found in the application's menus. Use the field to enter the underlined characters to perform the task. For example, to perform File/Save, enter FS.

Hot Key
A hotkey is a combination of keystrokes that executes a command. Sensiva can simulate a hotkey to execute a command in any application. Many menu commands are available by typing a hotkey shortcut. For example, the Ctrl key and the C key (Ctrl+C) are used to perform the Copy command. You can find the hotkeys for a particular application in the toolbar menu. Use the hotkey lists to choose keystrokes (up to four keystrokes) that you would like Sensiva to perform. When you have entered the keystrokes, press the "Next" button. Then select how many times you would prefer Sensiva to perform the keystrokes.
